When you burn an aromatherapy candle, it releases small quantities of essential oils. The chemicals penetrate your body and effect your brain in a certain way. It has several disadvantages - being petroleum based it releases harmful soot, which leaves ugly, dark spots on your furniture and is harmful when you inhale it. So it doesn’t make much sense to add quality natural essential oils to candles made of paraffin. Look for soy wax aromatherapy candles.
